Steinhardt GmbH joins the internationally operating ABIONIK Group

For the last ten years, we have been con­sol­i­dat­ing Steinhardt’s posi­tion on the field of nation­al and inter­na­tion­al com­pe­ti­tion. Exist­ing prod­ucts have under­gone fine-tun­ing and new prod­uct ranges for flood pro­tec­tion and process water tech­nol­o­gy have been estab­lished. Against the recog­ni­tion that small com­pa­nies are no match for glob­al play­ers, we have built up part­ner­ships with com­pe­tent firms whose inno­v­a­tive prod­ucts will broad­en future busi­ness oppor­tu­ni­ties and ensure growth.

In Sep­tem­ber 2019, Mr. Jörg Stein­hardt brought his shares in the Stein­hardt GmbH into the Hold­ing Abionik Group GmbH, Friedrich­str. 95, 10117 Berlin, thus cre­at­ing a busi­ness group with a sales vol­ume of approx. € 32 mil­lion and an exten­sive prod­uct port­fo­lio in the clean­tech sec­tor that spe­cialis­es in water and air treatment:

All three firms have been oper­at­ing suc­cess­ful­ly on the inter­na­tion­al mar­ket for many years and all three firms run suc­cess­ful joint ven­tures — Liku-Tech in India and Mat­ing Mo and GuHong in China.

Mem­ber­ship in the Abionik Group brings with it not just a more sol­id mar­ket posi­tion but also deliv­ers syn­er­getic ben­e­fits, for exam­ple in the areas of IT, pro­cure­ment and sales. Our port­fo­lio now extends from waste water treat­ment and mem­brane tech­nol­o­gy to drink­ing water treat­ment, air treat­ment, flood pro­tec­tion and process water tech­nol­o­gy. Our first joint project is in Berlin, Schön­er­linde, with Stein­hardt respon­si­ble for storm water treat­ment and LIKUSTA for emis­sion handling.

On 1^st Octo­ber, in keep­ing with the dynam­ic devel­op­ments, Mr. Ingo May­er was appoint­ed the company’s new Man­ag­ing Direc­tor. Mr. Jörg Stein­hardt remains in the firm with respon­si­bil­i­ty for prod­uct devel­op­ment, mar­ket­ing and con­sul­tan­cy activities.

The exten­sion of our pro­duc­tion capac­i­ty to accom­mo­date the Stein­hardt flood pro­tec­tion and process water tech­nol­o­gy prod­uct lines and the 20% increase in staffing dur­ing the past two years reflect our con­fi­dence in the future. The gen­er­a­tion change, now com­plete, has cre­at­ed a young and dynam­ic Stein­hardt team that remains at your disposal.

Now, as mem­bers of the Abionik Group, we look for­ward to con­tin­u­ing our suc­cess­ful co-operation.
