These reg\u00adu\u00adlat\u00ading devices are required to pro\u00advide pre\u00adcise dis\u00adcharge con\u00adtrol through\u00adout the reg\u00adu\u00adlat\u00ading range.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>The Solution<\/h3>\n<p>The ori\u00adfice cross sec\u00adtion is adjust\u00aded to main\u00adtain a con\u00adstant dis\u00adcharge by a ver\u00adti\u00adcal\u00adly oper\u00adat\u00ading shut\u00adter plate. The shut\u00adter plate is con\u00adnect\u00aded to a float arm which relates the water lev\u00adel to a con\u00adtrol cam. The pre\u00adci\u00adsion of the con\u00adtrol cam design enables the flow to be reg\u00adu\u00adlat\u00aded to an accu\u00adra\u00adcy of \u00b1 5% from design point. All <strong>HydroSlide<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> Flow Reg\u00adu\u00adla\u00adtors<\/strong> are com\u00admon\u00adly sup\u00adplied with\u00adout a \u2018First Flush\u2019 func\u00adtion (see tech\u00adni\u00adcal doc\u00adu\u00admen\u00adta\u00adtion); how\u00adev\u00ader, a first flush func\u00adtion can be pro\u00advid\u00aded for use in foul sew\u00aders per\u00admit\u00adting the ini\u00adtial debris to pass down\u00adstream pri\u00ador to reg\u00adu\u00adlat\u00ading. In such cas\u00ades, the <strong>HydroSlide<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> Flow Reg\u00adu\u00adla\u00adtor<\/strong>&nbsp;can be adapt\u00aded to any required set\u00adting. The reg\u00adu\u00adla\u00adtors of the mod\u00adel series DR 200 or small\u00ader have a dou\u00adble valve. A pull cable is stan\u00addard for dis\u00adcharges less than 60 l\/s to enable man\u00adu\u00adal open\u00ading of the unit in case of block\u00adages, although in foul sew\u00aders auto\u00admat\u00adic open\u00ading oper\u00ada\u00adtion is rec\u00adom\u00admend\u00adable for dis\u00adcharges&nbsp;\u2039 25l\/s.
